The Peace Bridge
Designed by internationally renowned architect Santiago Calatrava, the Peace Bridge's innovative helix design makes the structure completely self-supporting with no beams, arches, cables, or lower supports, other than the embankments which are hidden in the riverbanks. The bright red, tubular bridge offers pathways for both cyclists and pedestrians, and is the most stylish and efficient pedestrian bridge in Calgary. The bridge opened in the Spring of 2012.
Princes Island / Eau Claire
Calgary's most popular urban park: especially during the summer months. Price's Island Park was named after Peter Anthony Prince, the founder of the Eau Claire Lumber Mill, and the park was built in 1947 on 20-acres of donated land from the Prince family. Prince's Island Park hosts numerous festivals during the summer months.
China Town & Chinese Cultural Centre
The Calgary Chinese Cultural Centre features an art gallery, a museum, artisans, restaurants, and businesses. The building also boasts a central dome that was designed to resemble the Temple of Heaven in Beijing.

Kensington District
A popular urban district, full of restaurants, cafes, shops, cinemas and much, much more. On a sunny day, take the 5-minute walk across the Louise Bridge to take in all the action. Numerous festivals are hosted here as well.
Historic Stephen Avenue Walk
Take a stroll through the charming two-storey sandstone buildings, filled with a variety of independent shops and restaurants. This Canadian historic site is characterized by juxtapositions; exemplified by the 80-foot tall abstract sculptural "Trees," framed by the historic buildings. Just as these "Trees" come alive at night with a spectacular light show, so does Steven Avenue Walk as Calgary's most exciting urban nightlife destination.

Calgary Tower and Tourism Calgary

Encana Centre
Until the arrival of The Bow, the Encana Centre was the tallest freestanding building in Western Canada and is home to a range of companies and major corporations.

City Hall is comprised of two structures, the historical old sandstone town hall built in 1911, and the triangular and highly modern office complex built in 1986.

Olympic Plaza
Created to host the medal ceremonies at the 1988 Winter Olympic Games, today, this urban park now hosts concerts, festivals, and picnicking office workers and families. In the winter, it is used as a public ice skating area.

Scotiabank Saddledome
Originally built for the 1988 Winter Olympics, and located on the Calgary Stampede grounds, the Scotiabank Saddledome is home to Calgary's NHL team, the "Calgary Flames," as well as the WHL hockey team, the "Calgary Hitmen" and the NLL lacrosse team, the "Calgary Roughnecks."

Olympic Oval
The Olympic Oval was the first covered speed skating oval in North America, and as the first to be used at Winter Olympics. Its domed design allows the facility to control climate conditions produce the highest quality ice possible. The Oval continues to be regarded as a premier speed skating venue, and is the preferred training facility for speed skating teams from across the globe.
